Terms of Service

Rules for using the MILAB testing platform and structural homologation services.

Scope of Services

MILAB provides non-destructive testing (NDT), spectrochemical analysis, and structural fatigue evaluation for industrial metal components. All tests follow ASTM, ASME, and ISO standards applicable to the specific material and geometry.

Results are delivered as a technical report with measured values, acceptance criteria, and a pass/fail determination. No verbal or informal certification is binding.

  • Ultrasonic phased array (PAUT) for weld inspection
  • Optical emission spectrometry (OES) for alloy verification
  • Magnetic particle testing (MT) for surface crack detection
  • Fatigue life assessment based on fracture mechanics
Client Responsibilities

The client must provide accurate material specifications, prior test reports (if any), and safe access to the test piece. Samples must be free of surface contaminants that could alter results.

The client is responsible for interpreting the technical report in the context of their own design or production requirements. MILAB does not assume liability for decisions made after the report is issued.

  • Submit a completed test request form with material grade and weld procedure
  • Ensure the test piece is representative of the production batch
  • Provide a safe working environment for on-site inspections
Limitation of Liability

MILAB's liability is limited to the cost of the test service. In no event shall MILAB be liable for consequential damages, including production downtime, recall costs, or personal injury arising from the use of test results.

All reports are valid only for the specific sample tested. Extrapolation to other pieces or batches is the client's responsibility.

Intellectual Property

Test reports and raw data remain the property of MILAB until full payment is received. After payment, the client receives a non-exclusive license to use the report for internal quality assurance and regulatory submissions.

MILAB retains the right to anonymize and aggregate test data for statistical analysis and method improvement.

Termination and Changes

Either party may terminate a service agreement with 14 days written notice. MILAB may refuse service if the client fails to provide accurate information or safe access.

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of MILAB services after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms. The latest version is always available on this page.
